ServSafeŽ Food Safety Manager Certification Course and Exam

- The ServSafeŽ Food Protection Manager Certification is nationally recognized and accredited.
- The ServSafeŽ course and exam was developed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

- Montgomery, Prince Georges and Baltimore Counties, and the City of Annapolis require that a Certified Foodservice Manager be on-site during foodservice operations at all foodservice facilities.
The Certified Foodservice Manager must have full control over sanitation and preparation procedures, and supervise other foodservice employees in these areas.
- Baltimore City & Howard County require that at least one Certified Foodservice Manager be on staff, but does not necessarily need to be on-site during foodservice operations.
After completing a ServSafeŽ class and passing the exam, each student receives a certification from the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation (NRAEF).
Certification is based on a passing grade of 75% or above. Certification is valid for three years in Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia.
Receive a 10% discount for groups of 3 or more from the same company or establishment enrolled in the same class.
Participants must register and pay for the course in advance. This is a non-refundable, yet transferable payment. A 48-hour advance notice is required to re-schedule a class date to avoid a $25 change fee.
